At the edge of the plot, we placed a massive stone escarpment, which, with its stability and traditional appearance, combines functionality and aesthetics.
Process of implementation:
- Preparation of foundations: After excavation, we connected the rebar box and filled it with concrete. We inserted a reinforcing mesh into the fresh concrete, which served as an anchor point for further masonry.
- Initial row of stone: The first row of stone was built directly into the fresh concrete, which additionally contributed to the strength of the foundation.
- Masonry: The next morning we continued with the second and further rows of stone, paying attention to the alignment and stability.
- Material: The stone was brought from the Vrhpeč quarry, known for its quality natural stone.
- Conclusion: The scarp cap was also made of stone. We filled the joints with a mixture of cement and sand, and then worked them with a brush to achieve an authentic traditional look.
- Final work: After finishing, we tidied up the surroundings and received praise from the client for the professional execution and appearance of the project.
