Stone scarp is one of our main activities, which we perform with great dedication and joy of work.
This time we were invited to a project in Bršljin in Novi mesto, where due to the renovation of the road it was necessary to remove the existing escarpment and build a new one - one that will respect the original shape and tradition of the place. For the construction, we used natural gray stone from the Sveta Ana quarry, which is typical for this area and ensures an aesthetic match with the surroundings.
We first placed a reinforcing mesh in the foundations and poured concrete, and then continued with the construction of stone escarpments. We used the cords to follow the existing line of the old scarp, which ends elegantly towards the end with a slight semicircular turn.
We carefully processed the stones and filled them with concrete at the back for extra strength. The covering layer (cap) on top was made of concrete, as in the original scarp.
For the final look, we used the traditional grouting method, which preserved the authentic look and style. After completion, we arranged the surroundings and thereby further improved the overall impression.
🧱 We completed the project in just three days, which was more than exciting for the client - and for us as well. We are happy that with the new scarp we have contributed to a more beautiful image of Bršljina.
